Report: Gay Porn Star Matthew Rush Fails to Appear in Court, New Arrest Warrant Issued

Wednesday Feb 21, 2018

Matthew Rush is facing legal troubles yet again.

The former gay porn star was first arrested in September 2017 for possession/use of drug paraphernalia and possession of methamphetamine. In November 2017, his charged was reduced to a misdemeanor for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Last month, Rush, whose real name is Gregory Grove, was arrested for a third time because he did not respond to subsequent court date notices to resolve the misdemeanor charges. After a capias warrant for his arrest was issued in January, Rush, 45, was re-arrested. It was reported at the time Rush went back to court and the drug charge has reportedly been resolved. According to court docs obtained by gay porn news blog Str8UpGayPorn (extremely NSFW), Rush was ordered to enter a drug diversion program, and the case was dismissed.

Rush was scheduled to return to court on Feb. 14 but a new report from Str8UpGayPorn claims he did not show up to that drug court last week and a new warrant for his arrest was issued. As of this writing, no new arrest has been made.

Rush was also arrested in March 2017 for assault on his domestic partner.

After his September 2017 arrest, the porn actor took to Facebook to offer an update to his fans.

"I'm fine. Thanks to everyone and their support," the performer reportedly wrote at the time. "I'm in good health and going to lay low. Thank you everyone."
