The Material Girl made a surprise appearance at Maluma's Amazon televised concert in Medellin, Colombia, on April 30 and left her devoted fans with more questions than answers.

As reported by Billboard, it was an emotional occasion for Maluma to be performing in his hometown to a crowd upwards of 54,000 people.

Madonna's appearance at the spectacle was all but confirmed until the very last minute when she posted a behind the scenes clip of her rehearsing for the show on Instagram.

If you remember, Maluma and Madonna collaborated on the lukewarm "Medellin" from her "Madame X" and also on "Soltera" for his reggaeton/pop infused "11:11." So it all makes sense that she would be in attendance to gas him up on this special occasion. However, many fans took notice that the Material Girl seemed out of gas.

The words "sloppy" and "subpar" came to mind for many fans when it came to her execution and had many wondering on social media what happened to the Madonna who used to deliver performances with military precision.

"Next time we need to see you performing at you 100% full rehearsal mode! We miss that perfectionist girlll" wrote one user on Instagram.

"You need to fire Guy Oseary and re take your career Queen," wrote another.

In addition to performing "Medellin," Madonna also performed "Music" while grinding on Maluma and jumping up and down. Despite the perceived lack of precision in the performance, it sure is nice to see her on stage again.

"Thank you, Medellin. So good to be back," said Madonna, who performed in that very same stadium in 2012.

"Thank you for making my dream a reality," said Maluma about the whole affair. "More than anything, it's very important for me that my hometown loves me. If my hometown loves me, I could care less if everyone else loves me."
