Niecy Nash isn't worried about losing fans because she married a woman, Essence reports.

In August, the actress surprised fans with the announcement of her same-sex marriage to singer Jessica Betts. Nash hadn't previously been out. However, in the time since their marriage, both Nash and Betts "have been very vocal about their love story and how happy they have been since finding each other," according to Essence.

In response to a have who inquired about fans' negative reactions in the comments of an Instagram post, Nash responded: "If I lost a fan because of who I love, then that wasn't a real fan. Who/how I love has nothing to do with my art. I'm still a skilled, Emmy-nominated, award-winning actress."

Nash recently featured in the music video for Betts' latest single, "Catch Me." In the video, the couple are alone on a beach in their wedding clothes. There's also a possibility that Nash could host her own daytime syndicated talk show with CBS. However, such talk appears to be in its earliest stages, as a presentation has yet to be filmed and a show runner yet to be named.
