Anti-Gay Preacher: Is It Better to Be A Gay Slut or A Straight Slut?
Is it worse to be promiscuous if you are gay or straight? Pure Life Ministries founder and president Steve Gallagher claims to have the answers and the reasons why in a blog post he published Dec. 21 to his congregation's website (warning: the language on the site is heavily homophobic).
Titled "Is Homosexual Sin Worse than Heterosexual Sin?" Gallagher outlines four reasons why promiscuous gay sex is worse than straight sex using the Bible as a subtext and his opinion as a major text.
The first reason is the most obvious, Gallagher writes, and is simply because the Bible says so. Second, "While it is sinful for a guy and a girl to engage in extramarital sexual intercourse, their behavior fits within the parameters of 'normal' sex — something that cannot be said of sodomy and the like," Gallagher writes.
The post is the latest in a long history of anti-LGBTQ rhetoric and language by Pure Life Ministries, which believes "there is one God, eternally existing in three persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit," according to the ministry's website.
Gallagher asserts that the question he asks in his latest blog post is a "hot-button" issue and one of many buttons he plans to press going into 2022.
Outlining his third reasoning for why gay sex is worse, Gallagher writes that "[heterosexual] behavior affects a person's perception of himself." But "the [heterosexual] movement has spawned an entire community and culture within our nation — complete with its own Christian denominations."
Lastly, Gallagher argues that homosexuality simply makes people addicted to sex and sad.
"In my years of ministering in the realm of sexual addiction, it has been clear to me that homosexual activity brings about emotional suffering and a spiritual corruption that runs very deeply," Gallagher writes. "It doesn't take much to see how deeply gays have been scarred as a result of the course their lives have taken."
Only God knows what will be Gallagher's latest "hot-button" question posed to the public. Piggybacking of this most recent post, we suggest asking: Is gay or straight sex more fun?
