The issue of ticket scalping is not new, but it has reached a boiling point in recent years as technological advances allow resellers and automated bots to purchase large numbers of tickets immediately upon release, leaving genuine fans at the mercy of inflated secondary market prices. In her Instagram Story, Grande wrote, “It breaks my heart to see so many of you struggling to get tickets at fair prices. You are the reason I do this, and I want everyone—no matter who you are or who you love—to feel welcome at my shows.
