Heidi Klum Honored at Gabrielle's Angel Foundation for Cancer Research Dinner

Gabrielle's Angel Foundation for Cancer Research will honor the work of Heidi Klum; Amy and Brian France, Chairman & CEO of NASCAR, Founders, The Luke and Meadow Foundation; Mary Kitchen and Jon Orszag, Co-Founder of Compass Lexecon, Co-Directors of The Orszag Foundation, at the 2015 Angel Ball on Monday, October 19 at Cipriani Wall Street.

The Angel Ball honors individuals who have made significant humanitarian and philanthropic contributions in support of cancer research and boasts attendees in the fields of business, philanthropy, and society alike for this annual celebration of life, music and the quest for a cure. Proceeds from this annual gala benefit blood cancer research.

"This year we honor an amazing group of individuals who have all made so many contributions to cancer research through their own Foundations," said Co-Founder Denise Rich. "I am proud to honor their efforts and am thrilled to work with them toward our common mission -- to find a cure for cancer in our lifetime."

Alicia Quarles, Entertainment Correspondent seen on E!, "The Today Show" & MSNBC, will host this year's black-tie benefit, which is hosted by Grammy-nominated songwriter Denise Rich and her daughters Daniella Rich Kilstock and Ilona Rich Schachter. The Angel Ball stands out as one of the highlights of the New York social season and features a cocktail reception, dinner, surprise musical guests along with a luxury live auction and online auction hosted by Charitybuzz.com.

Nick Cannon will present the honor to Heidi Klum; Jeff Gordon will present to Amy and Brian France; and James Carville will present to Kitchen and Orzag.

Board Member and celebrity jeweler Lorraine Schwartz will serve as this year's Gala Chair as well as a sponsor. Other sponsors include The Jynwel Foundation, Porsche Cars North America and United Airlines.

In addition, on the morning of October 19, Patti LaBelle, Angel Ball 2015 performer and long-time supporter of Gabrielle's Angel Foundation for Cancer Research, and Denise Rich, Co-founder of Gabrielle's Angel Foundation for Cancer Research, will "flip the switch" for Gabrielle's Angel Foundation for Cancer Research and light the world-famous Empire State Building's tower lights in red and purple in honor of Angel Ball 2015.

Gabrielle's Angel Foundation funds the nation's best and brightest scientific investigators whose research focuses on finding less toxic treatments for patients with leukemia, lymphoma and related cancers. Since its inception, Gabrielle's Angel Foundation has awarded more than $25 million in grants making it one of the largest non-governmental sources of grant support for blood cancer research in the nation. In 2012, the Foundation opened a sister chapter, Gabrielle's Angel Foundation UK, which provides support for blood cancer research at Great Britain's leading institutions.�
