Kylie MInogue in the music video for "Padam Padam"

Is Kylie Minogue in the Illuminati?

Kylie Minogue has taken the world, and Pride Month, by storm with her hit single "Padam Padam." But at what cost?

As reported by the Daily Mail, conspiracy theorists have worked themselves into a frenzy over a theory circulating the internet that the illuminati is responsible for Minogue's recent success.

Some fans are pointing to Minogue's red-clad outfit in the accompanying "Padam Padam" music video as proof that she has joined the reportedly Satanic cult. Others are pointing to the way she is posed on the cover for her upcoming album "Tension" as proof. The photo shows Minogue holding up a big honking diamond to her eye.

"I don't know who told you to pose like this but it is a symbol of Satanism," one fan tweeted. "The hand gesture represents 666 and covering one eye is a well known satanic gesture. I certainly do not believe you knew,' they added"

Another social media user chimed in with, "Truly SATANIC, Kylie. So the illuminati has a new toy puppet, and she's a pop princess!"

Some are calling Minogue's success a "career comeback." But perhaps all the wild theories are causing amnesia because Minogue scored critical and commercial success with her "Disco" album in 2020, also. Yes, it was during the height of COVID-19, so we were cheated out of a proper tour. But the album had plenty of memorable songs and a fierce collaboration with Years and Years frontman Olly Alexander in "A Second to Midnight."

So, we say all of that to say, take the illuminati claims with a very, very fine grain of salt.

Other who have been accused of being in the illuminati include Elizabeth Hurley, Boy George, Robert Downey, Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Kanye West, Madonna, Sam Smith, the Kardashians, Kylie Jenner, Rihanna, and the list of famous and successful people goes on. So it seems Minogue is in good company.

On social media, Minogue thanked her fans for making "Padam Padam" into a success. Kylie addressed her chart comeback on social media this week,

"It has been an incredible week topped off by being my birthday today and I can't thank you enough. My heart is bursting with joy so thank you so so much," she wrote. "What an incredible, another wild turn in my life and my career. Thank you so much for all of your love and support, everyone who has got onto Padam Padam and made this possible for me. I love you, thank you so so much."

If you are one of the few people who haven't sucked into "Padam's" spell, watch the music video for the song below and tell us what you think. Catchy, right?
