Pedro Almodóvar's English-language film debut, "The Room Next Door," will soon grace our screens. As reported by Variety, Warner Bros. Pictures has acquired the film to be released in international territories, including the U.K., Spain, Italy, Germany and Latin America, and the film is packed with some of our favorite character actors, including Tilda Swinton, John Turturro, and "Mary & George" star Julianne Moore.

Produced by Almodóvar's banner El Deseo, "The Room Next Door" centers on a mother by the name of Martha who is working as a war reporter.

"Her spiteful daughter who is an auto-fictional novelist," reads the longline for the film. And "while the mother and daughter are separated by a serious misunderstanding, another woman is the keeper of their pain and bitterness."

Interesting! Set to hit theaters later this year, the film was shot between Madrid and New York, and includes features Alessandro Nivola, Juan Diego Botto, Raúl Arévalo, Melina Mathews and Victoria Luengo, also as part of the cast.

"The film addresses the endless cruelty of war, the very different ways in which the two female authors approach and write about reality, death, friendship and sexual pleasure as the best allies in the fight against horror," said Warner Bros. Pictures in a release about the film. Viewers can expect "the sweet awakening with the chirping of birds, in a house built in the middle of a nature reserve in New England, where the two friends live in an extreme and strangely sweet situation."
