Wet Dreams, Glittery Toys, and the Allure of Tight Shorts: Adam Lambert Gets Personal

Adam Lambert got into the details in a fun interview in which he talked about some of the "crazy" gifts his fans present him with, and his ongoing progress toward wearing "Daisy Duke" style short-shorts.

The brief volley of spirited back-and-forth questions and answers appeared in UK newspaper The Guardian, which queried Lambert on dental care, whether pineapple is acceptable as a pizza topping, his new EP and its teasing song titles, and who he'd want at an after-party.

Deliberately misinterpreting the title of his song "Wet Dream," the newspaper asked, "When did you last wet the bed?"

Lambert, not sidetracked from the title's actual meaning, set the record straight, saying, "it's not about that. It's about a fantasy. It's about waking up from a dream where you fancied somebody and started to get down and dirty with them."

"That happens all the time," Lambert disclosed.

Well, then!

Discussing "the ideal length of men's shorts," the "American Idol" alum revealed that he once suffered from "a weird body dysmorphia about my legs."

"They're very skinny and my ankles are tiny," Lambert detailed, "so I felt they looked like chicken legs. My partner keeps telling me: 'No, you have great legs, you should show them off.'"

To his credit, Lambert is working at taking his man's advice.

"I used to be an at-the-knee kind of guy," the singer noted. "Now I'm mid-thigh."

"I haven't reached my Daisy Duke cutoffs moment yet," the "Whataya Want from Me" singer went on to say, "but we'll see."

But length converted to volume when the conversation took a turn toward the enticingly tight shorts men wear down under.

"It's such a chilled, friendly place," Lambert said of Australia when he was asked if he intended to take up residence there.

The out "New Eyes" singer said he's been "misquoted" by those who thought he intended to live in Australia on a permanent basis – though, he reckoned, it might be a nice place to retire.

"People in Sydney and Melbourne are so calm and have a very contented way of life," he told his interviewer. "Every time I'm here, I think: "It's so relaxing." Plus, you can wear very tight shorts in Australia. It could become a personal evolution for me."

But the Guardian wasn't through with Lambert. The newspaper quizzed him on how fellow Queen bandmate (and astrophysicist) Brian May smells – "It's never come to my attention," Lambert responded; "He doesn't smell bad, else I would have noticed" – and asked about his "craziest glambert."

Of his devoted fanbase, Lambert said, "I use the word 'crazy' as a term of endearment because they're so dedicated and committed to everything that I do, which is wonderful."

"They'll buy the merch or make me things, like customized sex toys," the singer went on to add. "I'm like: 'Well, I don't really need a dildo dipped in glitter, but thank you.'"
