Lady Gaga Achieves Rare Status – Multiple #1 Hits in 3 Decades

Lady Gaga has achieved what only two other pop stars have managed: multiple hits to reach the top spot on the charts in three decades.
"Way back in August, Lady Gaga released her Bruno Mars duet 'Die With A Smile,' an old-school love-jam that debuted at #3 on the Billboard Hot 100," Stereogum reported.
The song hovered not far from the #1 spot, but never got there... until now, "in its 20th week on the chart," Stereogum detailed.
Billboard noted that "Gaga's Hot 100 No. 1 count is up to six," and detailed that each of the past three decades has seen two Gaga songs reach the top spot, a feat that "only Janet Jackson and Michael Jackson had achieved prior."
Stereogum delved deeper into the stats, recounting that Gaga "first topped the chart with the one-two punch of 'Just Dance' and 'Poker Face' in 2009. She returned to the #1 spot with 2011's 'Born This Way,' the 2019 Bradley Cooper duet 'Shallow,' and the 2020 Ariana Grande collab 'Rain On Me.'"
In a message of thanks to her fans that she posted on Instagram, Gaga wrote, "Thank you to all of the monsters and hooligans for helping make 'Die With A Smile' #1 on the Billboard Hot 100!"
Gaga went on to add: "Having multiple songs of mine hit #1 across three decades feels surreal, and I am overwhelmed by the love and support you have shown me from the beginning."
"I have so much more in store for you and can't wait to share it."
The "Telephone" singer also posted a message of gratitude on TikTok.
